Yes, absolutely. We Care US is an officially registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Your contributions are tax-deductible to the highest extent permitted by law.
If you donate online, an automated digital tax receipt will be emailed to you immediately. For donations sent by mail or made in person, written receipts are processed and mailed out within 10 to 14 business days.
To keep our national shipping and logistics highly efficient, we primarily accept bulk corporate donations of new goods. For individuals, we accept specific food and hygiene items during active collection drives at our Sandusky hub. We generally cannot accept used clothing or used furniture due to sorting and sanitation constraints.
Yes. While unrestricted gifts give our rapid-response teams the greatest flexibility to handle unheadlined emergencies, our online donation portal allows you to choose to direct your funds toward a specific active national relief campaign or our local Sandusky Anchor Initiative.

Our logistics hub in Sandusky maintains a pre-stocked inventory of emergency supplies. Once a major domestic crisis occurs (such as a hurricane, wildfire, or severe flood), our rapid-assessment teams deploy within hours, and supply chains are mobilized across state lines within 24 to 48 hours.

We don’t just leave when the news cameras do. After providing immediate emergency food, water, and hygiene supplies, We Care US transitions into community stabilization. This includes helping families navigate recovery resources, funding local rebuilding efforts, and setting up long-term community food networks.
While we operate nationally, we believe in supporting our roots. The Sandusky Anchor Initiative is our flagship local program in Erie County, Ohio. It serves as both a vital community safety net (food pantries, utility assistance) and a testing ground where we pilot innovative social programs before scaling them across the country.
For general resource distribution and warehouse packing, no prior experience is required. However, for our frontline rapid-response disaster deployment teams, we require volunteers to complete our specialized safety and emergency management training courses, which we provide free of charge.
Yes! We regularly host corporate team-building days, civic groups, school clubs, and faith-based organizations at our central logistics hub for volunteer “packing parties.” Please fill out our Group Volunteer Request form at least three weeks in advance to secure a date.

We welcome partnerships with logistics, retail, and manufacturing companies. Please contact our corporate supply chain team at logistics@wecareus.org to coordinate bulk donations of pallets, fleet services, or new overstock items.
We take financial stewardship incredibly seriously. 85% of every dollar donated goes directly into our frontline programs and disaster relief supplies. The remaining 15% is split between essential logistics/warehousing (10%) and lean administrative or fundraising costs (5%).
